So, you're a Christian starting at Warwick. What should you know? Here's a mini guide to living our your faith-filled life in first term, condensed even further into 3 Top Tips!
1- Go to church!
It's obvious, right? Still, many people end up replacing church with CU. As we'll tell you (many times!), CU just can't replace church. Check out our church guide to find the one that's right for you. - Justin
2- Join a 5:20
I just couldn't recommend 5:20's enough, even with flyers on every single building on campus! You get to meet Christians in your halls with whom you can study the Bible, create a support network, and even go out into halls and share your faith. They're a great place to grow spiritually and personally, so go find yours and reap the benefits for years to come. - Bianca
3- Be yourself
People almost always end up trying to please somebody when they come to uni, be it their girl/boy-friend, their hallmates, their sports society or even the CU! There are pressures everywhere and it's easy to find yourself torn between options. There's no need to start being sneaky about things just to keep people happy, so just keep God in your sights, follow your conscience and do what you really want to do - be it sport, coffee, Lunchbars, whatever. Do it and glorify God with your honest attitude to life. - Nathan
OK. So it's not the world's finest compendium of wisdom, but it's a start! Try asking a CU member for one piece of advice they could give you, it may turn out to be that golden nugget that changes everything!
