Wow! So much stuff and so little time! Hopefully, this is where you can find details of the many, many things that you can *Get Involved* in with CU, to further our aims of Mission and Maturity.
Weekly Events
Almost everyday of the week, morning, afternoon and evening, there's opportunities to get involved! From 5.20s to Equip meetings you can pray, meet internationals, make hot chocolate, prepare lunches, and take part in text a toastie. For a full list of this week's events you can visit our This Week page or for a more general overview see the Calender.
Annual Events
In addition to everything happening on a week-to-week basis, every now and then there's the opportunity to get involved with something extra special. These events usually only happen once a year, so make sure you don't miss out.
Mission Week
Every year the CU organises a week of events to reach out to our campus with Good News. Last year it was called "This is Love" with guest speaker Andy Croft speaking about Jesus during our evening meetings and Lunchbars. Students from all across the globe attended Globe Cafe and every member of CU was able to take part in helping out. Events week is not the only time we do evangelism, rather week dedicated to creating even more opportunities for our friends to hear about Jesus Christ. This year the title is "Naked Christianity" and the guest speaker is the very same Mike Reeves who spoke at Houseparty and the Carol Service.
Houseparty
Houseparty is our annual weekend away to Quinta Christian Centre in Oswestry. It was a fantastic opportunity to get to know each other a little better and to become further equipped for our mission on campus. This year we were joined by Mike Reeves (the Theology Director of UCCF) and there was a whole bunch of other exciting activities. All of Mike Reeves talks are now online here.
Carol Service
The carol service is an annual event organised by our CU together with the CU at Coventry Uni. It happened in Week 10 of Term 1, in the unique Coventry Cathedral. Unsurprisingly, we sang some Christmas hymns as well as heared the Gospel taught clearly and simply by Mike Reeves. Everyone loves carols, so it was a great opportunity to invite your friends to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. This year the Cathedral was packed out so praise the Lord!
