Wednesday evenings. For some, that means ‘Pop’. For some, it means the Dirty Duck. For some, it means the Terrace Bar. But for everyone out on a Wednesday night, if they head towards Rootes Grocery Store, they will find free biscuits, hot chocolate, water, and a group of smiling, yellow clad people. That’s Hot-Choc.
It’s the chance for us to show people that the CU is there for them, a chance to share God’s love, spread some joy, and just maybe explain to someone why on earth Jesus might want us to do it. There are many good conversations had out there that you might never have expected, although we do not aim to initiate conversation, but people are interested to know why we are out there losing sleep and getting cold.
