It’s vital to get involved in a local church whilst you’re at uni. The CU runs “Church Search” at the start of the year but it’s good to check out the options beforehand to narrow your choices down!

Welcome Week

We are running events throughout Welcome Week to introduce you guys to university life and the CU, to help you get to know us and each other and to help you find a church to get stuck into whilst at Warwick. 

You can find the schedule to the right. These should also be available in your Welcome Week Timetable so make sure to add our events to it so you don’t forget!

Freshers' WhatsApp Group 2026

Freshaway 2026

8th-10th September    Tom Roberts Adventure Centre

Freshaway is an event we run as the CU a couple of weeks before the university year begins. It’s a few days away packed with activities, Bible talks and discussion. We want to give new students joining us a chance to get to know each other and some existing CU members, gain an idea of what the CU is like and to prepare for starting a university life of exploring, sharing and living out their faith.

Dates: 8th-10th September 2026 (Tue-Thu)
Location: Tom Roberts Adventure Centre, Yates Farm, Malswick, Newent, Gloucestershire, GL18 1HE 
Price: £82 (please pay before submitting this form – if there any problems with cost, please contact us – we don’t want it to be a barrier to you coming!)

Freshlinks

“Without having my freshlink, my whole CU and university experience wouldn’t have been nearly as good: they really help you get involved and you make a great friend early on. I would highly recommend.”

A Freshlink is an older member of CU, usually on a similar course to yours, who you can meet up with on a regular basis to grab a coffee, chat, study the Bible and encourage one another in living and speaking for Jesus! They’ll be able to get in contact with you before you even start at Warwick and can answer any questions you have about the Christian Union or Warwick student life!
